Is it possible to imbed logon information into a sub report?

I am writing a report that uses a sub report to get information from a different DSN. Each time the report is run the user is prompted to enter a user name and password. I am wondering if it is possible to imbed the logon information into the sub report to avoid this.

For security reasons Crystal Reports files (.rpt) do not store DB credentials.

There is unsecure option to use ODBC Connection string, but you should understand the security risk to store access to database in a file.

    Hi Chris,

Which database are you reporting against?

If your DB supports NT Authentication then check on the option to use that when making the connection to the subreport.

That way it won't prompt the user to log on.
