Where can you download merge modules from now?

It appears that the websites have undergone a redesign. Can we still download the merge modules required to ship an application that uses the Crystal reports bundled with Visual Studio 2005.

If so, what's the new URL?

URL's that DID have merge modules were

http://support.businessobjects.com/mergemodules (according to https://boc.sdn.sap.com/node/8550)

http://www.businessobjects.com/products/dev_zone/net/2005.asp (according to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms225386(VS.80).aspx)

Both of these sites redirect you to the generic support page. http://www.businessobjects.com/support/default.asp

I have searched, but I can't find any plave you can download them from here.

The merge modules (runtime packages) can be found in the Business Objects Community on the SAP Community Network page:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects-downloads

Choose your software product and version, then choose "Utilities" for software type.

Cheers,

Fritz

Thanks for your help.

According to the [MSDN|http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms225386(VS.80).aspx], the file I'm looking for is called CrystalReportsRedist2005_X86.msm. I still haven't found this file.

I've tried the [url|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects-downloads] given, and didn't have any luck. One problem might be an apparent bug on this page: when I do the search, a results panel appears, stating that it's showing the first 10 of 20 results. When I click the "Next Page" button, the results panel just disappears altogether.

I'm using Internet Explorer 6. (Not my choice of browser, but I'm in a government department) Are other people having this problem with this downloads page?

Try the link below and see if it is what you need. The file name is exactly right but it looks correct.

Thank you very much David for this link you have provided and this helps me a lot.

I just want to ask if you also have the merge modules for "x64" and "IA64".

Really thanks a lot.

Hi,

Which download should I use if I have a web site built in VS 2008 and plan to create a web setup project?

It's not the version of VS that is as important as the version of CR used. I assume you are using the version that is bundled with .NET 2008(?). That being the case, the possibilities are:

CRRedist2008_ia64.msi

https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006255262008E/CRRedist2008_ia64.zip

CRRedist2008_x64.msi

https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006255272008E/CRRedist2008_x64.zip

CRRedist2008_x86.msi

https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006255282008E/CRRedist2008_x86.zip

Also see [this|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReportsforVisualStudio.NETRuntimeDistribution-Versions9.1to12.0] wiki for more details.
