Restricting Material for particular Order type

Dear Guru's,

Is it possible to restrict particular material for particular order type in CO01.

E.g. Material A is used in CO01 for order type X

Material B is used in CO01 for order type Y

I want to restrict CO01 should not allow production order creation of material A with order type Y.

Regards

Chandan.

    Hi,

Pls sit with your ABAPer to take help on this requirement

For production order you have exits PPCO0001 to PPCO0023. In transaction SMOD you can see the documentation for all this exits.

Actually I think exit PPCO0007 could be a possiblity for you. This exit is called by saving the order.

    Sankaran

    Hi,

In general through the Production Scheduling profile system will suggest the Order Type during CO01, if not specified any other Order Type.

Specify the Order Types in OPKP, assign this Scheduling profile in the Materil Master work scheduling view. System will automatically suggest the relevant Order Type during Order creation or Conversion.

Once created the Order type in the Procution Order can not be cahnegd.

So, restict the manual creation of the Order always conver the Planned Order to Prod. Order.

Otherwise the Use the User Exits..

    Siva

    Hi,

Without user exit you can follow this given below:

If you assign Order type X in OPKP, it is applicable to all materials. So material A & B can use this order type.

To restrict that, In OPKP only assign Order tytpe X.

Create MRP group & assign in material B . In MRP group assign Prod Order type Y. In work scheduling view do not input Production scheduling profile for material B.

So for creation of Prod order for Material A, system allow only Order type X.

And for Material B, system allow only Order type Y.

    Dharma

    Hy,

By the use of production scheduling profile you can set default order type for the required materials. But it doesn't restrict the other order type. During the manual order creation if user has select other order type then , there is no restriction. So as Mr. Shiva said put restriction over manual order creation, if possible.other option may be by using User Exit.

Now in your case you want to restrict materials not material type. So it is quite complicated for Abaper to write code , because the for every new material Abaper has to change code.

So there is one option by grouping perticuller materials under one production scheduler and then it is more convient for Abaper to create code for User Exit.

Pls refer below thread which may give some more inputs for your requirments.

    Hi,

Ceate a Transaction Variant with SDD0 for CO01

Do not display the Order Type filed (Hide this Filed) in CO01.

So that no one can use this Filed.

Then restict the Authorization for CO01 for all the Users.

Now there will be no option for the Users to input the different order type than the one which specified in the Production Scheduling Profile.

(I hope you have already specified the required Order types in OPKP and assigned it to respective Material Masters)

    Hope this helps..

    Regards,

    Siva
