Development Component visible in CBS but not in NWDS

Hi All,

unfortunately I have an issue Im not able to help myself on, so if somebody can support me on my question, it would be great.

My problem is in fact: a customer of my uses NWDS resp NWDI for SAP EP development. While trying to access the source from the development infrastructure of NWDS I cant see any available DC's within a custom SC:

Indeed, if Im entering the CBS online perpective, Im able to see what Im expecting to see:

Assuming the problem could be my local workspace I deleted it and created a new one, re-imported affected tracks: still same problem. I dont even have a rough idea how this could happen or how this issue can be troubleshooted.

If somebody has an idea how this can be handled, it would be great. Thanks,

best regards

Hi szabolcs.renyo

thank you for your friendly support.

I didnt done it on my own at all, but rather found the problem already existing, cant say anything on mentioned steps

>Do you have the right version of your NWDS?

yes, its correlating to AS Java Version

As I found out meanwhile, the problem are missing DC descriptors in the DTR, no idea how this could happen. Creating those manually seems to solve it. Thank you nevertheless,

best regards

Hi Don,

Were your Custom SCAs are imported via the following way:

1. Assemble the new SCA file from previous development track.
2. Export the product and software component created for the development from previous NWDI.
3. Import the product and software component into the new NWDI.
4. Keep the SCA file of development into CMS inbox with the SCAs of other dependencies.
5. Go to CMS Create a new development track at new NWDI.
6. Check in all the SCAs from CMS inbox to Development compartment of new track.
7. Import from Development to Consolidation, do same up to the production ?

Do you have the right version of your NWDS?

You can find further info in this SAP Blog:
