Hello Experts,

i have a situation, where user has set the DMR and it works fine.

but sometimes user want to inspect the Lot and expect the SKIP to be changed to REL.

do we have any standard transaction or note to make this feasible.

Hi Navdeep.

I am not sure to understand, because SKIP exists on QM precisely to inspect lot in case of problem during SKIP. It's because you have always an inspection lot "SKIP" even if your DMR determines it is not necessary to inspect goods or product. For me, it is not necessary to release a SKIP lot, if nevertheless you want to add results, defect, or UD.

No ?

Look at your settings on SKIP lots. SKIP lots are still created and you run a job to process SKIP lots. SKIP lots can still be used to record results and make UD's. You just have to do something to the lot before the job processes the SKIP lot. You can simple change the inspection lot text to "Process this SKIP lot". That should do it I believe. You can also put a text description on a specific test. That will also do it. You might want to consider increasing the wait time on your skip lots which in maintained in the QM plant config settings so they hang around long enough for you to make these changes if you decide to process the SKIP lot. If your wait period is like one minute, you won't have any time to do this.

As soon as you change anything in the SKIP lot I believe it loses the SKIP status. You have to process it.

This is done in cases where say you inspect every 5th pallet. You get a pass on the 5th pallet but a fail on the 10th. Now it becomes necessary to test skip lot 7. If it fails, you need to process skip lot 6. If 7 passes you need to process 8. If 8 passes you need to process 9. This allows you to determine exactly where the failure during production happened.

If its a SKIP lot for an incoming vendor/material you may just want to do a surprise audit.
