Getting application server error while executing Optical Character Recognition API using ABAP code

Hi Team,

I have been able to test the optical character recognition using try it out option and it correctly sends out the letters from the image in the response body.

Now I am trying to test the same api from a stand alone ABAP system using blog abap system with proxy setup and api usage using abap code.

I did setup one more SSL certificate by referring to blog SSL_For_ABAP_GIT and did try debugging. In SM21 logs, I could see below error message -hostname 'ciec3.wdf.sap.corp' unknown

Experts, please advise on any step that we need to do in order to test it from a ABAP system.

Regards,

Naveen

Hi Naveen,

I have retagged this question as API, ABAP and API Business Hub specific in hopes of finding you better answers, as I am not an ABAP expert, and I think you would be better served by someone with ABAP knowledge. If the code is executing completely, have you tried stepping through it to see what is happening and if any points are not working as expected?

Regards,
Elijah

Hi Elijah,

Thanks for re-routing.

I did setup one more SSL certificate by referring to blog SSL_For_ABAP_GIT and did try debugging. In SM21 logs, I could see below error message -hostname 'ciec3.wdf.sap.corp' unknown

Experts please advise if there is any gateway related setup that needs to be done.

Regards,

Naveen

"blank message on the system" - message can't be completely blank, please post what you're getting.

Also since there are no answers (yet?), please just add any additional information directly to the question. Comments are not visible by default.

And make sure to use the title that reflects the actual issue. It doesn't look like this has anything to do with API itself but rather just a general connectivity issue.

Hi Jelena,

I add put in more comments later on, guess that wasnt visible.

So as advised, I have rephrased my query and have added more details to it.

Hope this helps in resolving the error.

Kindly advise.

Naveen
