As far as I know Sap Business ByDesign prepares for financial consolidation, but it doesn't run financial consolidation itself.

What SAP products do you recommend for financial consolidation that are suitable for Business ByDesign.

SAP BPC would be the standard choice for planning and consolidation. It’s quite a hefty tool, but useful in the budgeting cycle as well if setup properly.
