    Hi!

Since Smartforms have programs (FMs) in the background, the following link applies here also:

    hi,

Basically generation automatically creates a FM assigend to the SF to pass data to it at run time.Activation makes it avaliable throughout the system.

    Hi,

firstly you are creating smart form is nothing but generate. after syntax check complete u wll activate the smartform. whenever if you activate the smartform it wll create a one function module it(function module) encapsulate all the attributes of that particular form. this is nothing but activation.

    thanks.

    Hi...

Generally u generate the smartform..to overcome the impact on Translation when u change a perticular text element..suppose u change and activated the smartform..now previous to that if u have maintained translation in DE language for the same...then the change will not reflect in the translation..For that purpose u need to generate the smartform in both the languages..i.e English and DE.

Then the change will reflect in both the languages..

Reward points if the abv is helpful..
