ESS Error

Why do sometimes I get an error 'Personnel Number not yet assigned' when I try to access my data from ESS. The data has been maintained correctly on the SAP side and I see no issues with it.

Could it be some authorization issue. If yes, what are the necessary authorizations required to overcome this error.

Basic thing that if an employee wants to access his data using ESS.

1) In SAP, in the user master record, the employee record should exist.

2) In 105 (Communication Infotype) subtype 0001 - System user name to be maintained with the same user ID with correct validity date.

If a Manager wants to view an employee, doe sthat employee record need a IT105?

in any case both the employee and the manager need to have user id in the IT105 subtype 001.

if there is a workflow invovled the email id also needs to be put in subtype 0010.

Is SSO implemented in portal and if not have u done user mapping in portal.

Hi,

Please check whether you have asigned the Personnel number to the portal User ID. You can do so by going to IT105, subtype 0001

Its not sometimes..sorry for that..

But everytime I am getting into ESS to edit my information or enter time. I am getting this Error.
