IDES HANA SAP FIORI Error / How is it to correct?

Hello,

I need help in an Fiori configuration:

Frontend IDF with an Sybase DB

Backend IDS with an HANADB

Systemalias is IDS_400

If I click on an APP on Firoi Lounchpad we geht the Error

Example:

APP: Hauptbuch - vorerfasste Belege -> Vorerfasste Buchungsbelege buchen

https://cihe4.wdf.sap.corp:50081

This is an predefined destination in the IDES System. HTTP RFC.

How and where can i config the destination to the Backend System IDS ?

To create a HTTP RFC to IDS_400 is not the Problem.

But how and where must i configurate the call from the app to another HTTP RFC and not to the standart at IDES ?

Thank for any help.

Hello, Even when is an old thread, I would like to know if you find the solution for this since I´m facing the same issue.

A new RFC and system alias have been created and adjusted accordingly.

Also, all HTTP RFCs have been adapted to point to our backend (intead of cihe4.wdf.sap.corp) but whatever app is selected from FLP tries to reach cihe4.wdf.sap.corp at port 50081.

Not able to find where from the old system is being selected.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Hello Bartosz Jarkowski,

Both Systems Frontend and Backend are IDES Systems.

There are many Configurations which based of other Systems .

Is it possible to config and modify Ides Systems to get a running Fiori environment?

Or are we wrong to take here IDES systems?

Thank´s vor help

Yes, you can use SAP IDES for Fiori. This is a very common scenario.

I think I would just use a clean Netweaver installation as the front-end server.

Here we have a IDES as frontend too. So this is not a good Idea? Better we take a clean NW Installation how you say?

You have two options:

  • modify existing RFC to point to the new hostname
  • create new RFC and modify system alias to RFC assignment in SPRO -> SAP Netweaver -> SAP Gateway -> OData Channel -> Configuration -> Connection Settings -> SAP Gateway to SAP system -> Manage SAP system aliases.

Remember, that you also need to configure trust between the system.

You can find good documentation of the required steps here:
