mrp run

Hi fr pl anyone give me solution

Material A can be manufactured using material B and material B can be manufactured with material C. Material B has a procurement type both. Whenever we procure the material from the vendor at that time the planning for the material C should not happen in the MRP run. Similarly when material B is produced in-house at that time material C should be automatically planned in the MRP run. More over at the time of MRP run the system should ask automatically whether the material B is procured externally or internally.

    Hi,

In material master select Procurement type X.

After MRP run planned order will be create for material B.

If you want to produce in inhouse, convert this planned order into prod order. So system will consume material C.

If you want to procure from external, convert this planned order into Pur req.

From MD04 screen, you can convert the planned order into prod order or P.R

      Hi Jeya,

I feel Instead of running MRP you should go for MPS , so that you can plan the material on A level and the B level.and so no planning needed for C level materials

In your case A is FERT, B is Halb and C is Roh i feel from what you said.

So when you run MPS for FERT that is level A the BOM for A will be exploded and the plannin for the next immediate level that is B Halb will also be done and so you will not have to plan the material for C after making the Purchase requisitons for B.

      Hope this one helps

    Hi jeya,

You can control the planning of material as mentioned by Dharma

But i dont think its possible to control(stop) the planning of material C as it is a dependent requirement so it will be triggered automatically as & when there is a requirement for the parent material

Only option how you can stop is putting MRP type as ND but that will not solve your purpose/requirement

    Hope the above is clear

    Regards,
