Transport to Production System

Hi all,

I am SAP Enterprise Portal Consultant , I worked on CRM5.0 PCUI Application in development system . The system is ready to Transport to production system.

Form the CRM side Transport part is over.

From the Portal side what I have to transport?

In the development system we deployed the Business Package (BP CRM 5.0).

In the production system do we need to deploy the Business Package (BP CRM 5.0) into the production system?

Or a simple transport of development content is sufficient?

I want to know what are the pre-requirements take care before transporting the development system to Production System from portal side.

If possible explain me the enter process of transporting the development System Portal to Production System Portal.

Hi Naresh,

If you want transfer the all configuration that you made in portal targetting the crm server then you have to create transport packages and that transport packages you have to import in to desired server.

In portal using the export functionality you can create different export packages for kind of configurtion object of portal.And using the import functionality you can import the exported files into the new server.

For pcd objects have to create .epa files.

For transporting configurations create config archives which you can import into the new server

By creating the above mentioned transport packages you can tranport the content to desired portal server.
