validity date for materials

Hi friends,

we want to maintain old material no. for our vendor material no. But for some materials, he will change the vendor material no. from that date onwards, new no. will applicable.but we have got previous stock even... so please explain , how to consider this? full points will be awarded...

Hi,

Use MM12 - Schedule Changes for Material Master

Here input the material no and Date for which the change is scheduled then go to the basic data view and maintain the old material no and save.

Then Use MM13 - Activate scheduled changes for material master

You can transfer the stock with

MB1B 309 from old material number to the new ones
