Hello !
I want to give some user rigths to manage discussion forum. I have given the user "full access" permissions on the discussion group. He can create/delete discussions in the group. But he can't edit/delete replies of the other users inside topics - only the author and super admin can do it.
What is wrong here ?
Hi
are you talking about Discussion in KMC or in jive forum?
if KMC is it Discussion in portal home page or discussion for folders / documents?
Did you assign service permission -->collaboration to the respected user
Regards,
Vijay.

Alex,
Assign permissions for discussions.
Permissions control who is allowed to display and change objects. To edit permissions, in the context menu for the discussion group or the discussion, choose Permissions.
Once you have changed a permission, you become the permission owner, who is responsible for managing this object, together with other users.
You can assign the following permissions for discussions:
● Navigation in the discussion group: Read permission required for the discussion group
● Participation in a discussion: Read permission for the resource is required
● Management (Moderation): Write permission for the respective discussion or discussion group is required.
Permissions are passed on as in folder hierarchies. For example, if you give a user write permission for a discussion group, he or she can manage all discussions in that group and in subordinate groups.
Delete discussion groups and discussions.
As a moderator (with access to Managing Discussion Groups), you have permission to delete discussion groups and discussions. To do this, you use the menu item Delete, which is provided in the following places:
● In the header of the Discussions iView
Caution: With this function, you can delete all discussion groups and discussions in the room.
● In the context menu for a discussion group or discussion
With this function, you can delete a single discussion or a discussion group and all subordinate objects.

As a participant (read permission), you can only delete your own discussions for which no posts exist yet
As a moderator, you require write permission for the folder or the document that the discussion is linked to in order to delete the discussion (is assigned automatically when creating the discussion) or the Collaboration service permission.
Deleting the discussion, the post, or the reply
○ As a participant, you can delete only your own discussions, posts, or replies that no one has responded to yet.
○ As moderator of a discussion, you require write permission for the folder or the document that the discussion is linked to in order to delete the discussion (is assigned automatically when creating the discussion) or the Collaboration service permission.
