Hybris marketing - suppress double opt-in email if permission is already given

Hi SAP gurus,

In Hybris Marketing Cloud, is it possible to suppress a double opt-in email if the person submitting the form has already given 'opt-in' permission before? From implementing a basic example, each time the form is submitted, a new email is sent even if they are already opted in. We've been looking at suppression rules & custom logic but haven't made any breakthrough so far..

    Dear Mr. Simon,

    We cannot define a “condition” on a landing page so that the double opt-in email is only considered if they haven't already given general email permission!
