Restricting No. of lines entered in Custom Control in Dialogue program?

How to restrict Number of lines entered in Custom Control used in Dialogue programming? I have used a custom control in screen where I need to restrict user to enter only five lines. Can anybody suggest any option to achieve this functionality?
