Picking quantity

Hello friends,

once if I save the sales order, in delivery document I get delivery quantity copied from sales order , at the same time picking quantity should also be copied without giving manually, that is the requirement. Do we have any setting for that?

In standard system this is the settings made by SAP.

Beacuse , you can do the PGI, only if the delivery quantity and the picking quantity are same.

PGI is meant for the whole delivery and partial PGI is not possible. I mean, you have the delivery quantity say 10 pieces, you can not do a PGI for 8 pieces for that delivery document.

If this the requirement then you have to change the quantity in the delivery document first to 8 pieces ( Sales order status will now changed to open/being process from completed ), then picking and then PGI.

So another delivery you have to create for 2 pieces if you want to complete the sales order.

Therefore in the standard system it has already been set by SAP, so that delivery quantity is copied as picking quantity initial. You can change the picking quantity but in that case you have to change the delivery quantiy also to same or elase system will not allow to do the PGI.

thank u for ur response, as you said is right, what I need is if in my delivery document delivery quantity is 10pieces , without giving manually my picking quantity should also be 10pieces.

Do we have anystandard setting for that?if u know can u please suggest me?or otherwise shall I go for enhancement?

Dear shekar ,

If your business process is like this , then you can deactivate 'Relevant for picking' from item category setting ( Trxn : OVLP ) . If this will disturb others , then go for Y or Z deliver item category to avoid this problem.
