How to maintain licence data

Good afternoon to everybody.

As you all probably know we are able to change SAP Business One licence data under http://service.sap.com/system-data .

But I do not know how to switch a licence from one installation to another one (same customer).

Here's the scenario:

My customer A has bought 1 Professional Licence at the very beginning of the project for a testing environment. He got an installation number and a specific hardware-key for this licence.

A few months later customer A went live and had to buy 9 Professional Licences to fulfill his relevant user-needs (productive company).

He is now working with SAP Business One for almost 2 years and all 9 Professional user are fine.

BUT, now he wants to use the remaining Professional Licence from the test environment within the productive company.

2 different installation numbers, 2 different hardware-keys...

Any suggestions?

That being the case, you will have to delete the test environment (look for the hardware key/install number). Once the 1 Pro license has been returned to the contractual area, you can then amend the Production system by changing/adding a new Pro license to the production system (based again, on install number).

Are they different installation number or different systems with different hardware keys. We have our test systems under the same installation. If they are under the same installation you can delete the test system, wait for your license to show up in your contractual information then request a new license for the production system and change the system data to the number of licenses needed and then import the new license file. If it is a different installation number delete the system under the old installation and request for the existing system, again wait until it shows up as available in your contractual information otherwise you will be issued a temporay license that will expire after two weeks.
