Problem while importing the Non-Qualifier data

Hi All,

I have a Qualified Multi value field in my main table. The qualified table has one non-qualifier and one qualifier, both are marked "yes" for display field property in Console. From the import manager I have successfully uploaded the data . But, I see some problem when I open Data Manager.

In Data Manager, when I choose any one particular record in the record edit pan, for that qualifeid field I only see the value of qualifier. But when i place cursor then in the context menu i see both values. When I double click on that filed, Iam getting the error "SAP MDM Data Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close". Also in the record display pane I dont see any entry in that qualified field. I was expecting the non qualifier to be there. Why is it missing?

Iam sure the problem when I double click is due to this non-qualifier not showing up.

Please suggest.

Thank You,

Suresh.

Please ensure that the linking while the importing of the Data into the Main table is proper. You should be able to view the Non- Qualifier in the right hand side of the DM window. After clicking on that you should be able to view the corresponding Qualifier Data.

Also since you are getting an error, one cause of the error can be that the build version of the Data Manager GUI is not matching the MDM server Build Version. To ensure that the GUI's and the MDM server work properly, the Build version of both GUI's and the MDM Server should be same.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Suresh,

If you have successfully mapped and imported the qualifier table.

Then when you perform the main table mapping, you need to map all the qualifiers and the qualified lookup field also.

The source field to which you map this qualified lookup field in the main table will determine what you see in the data manger.

If you map the non-qualifier to the lookup field then in the DM you will see thsi value in the Main table and in the right hand side you will see a block for this qualifier table

Double click this block to open it

Then wen you select the desired Nonqualifier you will see all the qualifiesr already populated under it.

    Hope it helps

Kindly reward points if found useful

    Thanks

    Simona

    Hi Suresh,

Just follow the points below to import the data, if data is not coming up properly in DM after u confirm with the right versions of ur consoles:

1] Map the no qualifier field in source side to the no qualifier field of destination side (Field having "F" against it and having type "Look up qualified".

2] Right click on this destination field -> Set Qualified Update -> Update. New Link->Create. Existing Links -> Update all mapped qualifiers.

3] Then map yes qualifiers and corresponding value mappings.

Then matching based on any main table field. and import/ Update all mapped fields (if all the records are already there in main table).

Hope this will help you to get the correct data in MDM.

    Regards,

    Dheeraj.
