Assigning a substitution for line managers to approve time sheets..

Hi experts,

our customer is using SAP ECC 6.0 and wants to realise CATS Classic for time sheet recording and approval.

The approval is to be done by the line Manager and the customer demands that the timesheet is sent for approval to the next superior manager in case the line manager is not available. My question is how to do we assign a subsititution if the line manager is on Vacation/absent.

What we have done so far:

• The Organisational Plan (Org. Management) is set up and every employee has a line manager assigned.
• The approval Workflow is activated in the Data Entry Profile with Standard Task TS31000007 (approval through line manager) entered.

I see that I can add rules to the standard task but am not sure if there is already a default rule available to automatically send the timesheet to the next Superior manager.
