SOAP Receiver Configure Certificate Authentication

Hello Experts,

Recently a third party vendor informed us they will be changing their certificates. They provided the public key certificate (file type .CRT) and I imported it into the TrustedCAs key store view in NWA (using SAP PI 7.31 dual stack). In the SOAP Receiver communication channel when I choose "Configure Certificate Authentication" and select the dropdown for Keystore View/Entry it is only showing private keys, so my cert is not possible to select.

KeyStore with Cert:

SOAP Receiver:

I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks and best regards,

    Hi Matt,

I think you are confused cos we've got two things here:

    1. to enable a secure connection (SSL) with the remote host you have to import its public certificate into your TrustedCA store,

    2. to authenticate using a certificate, you have to choose your certificate (with the private key) which is stored in the secure storage and configure it in your communication channel.

So in your case, as your third party vendor informed you that their certificate is changed then you have to perform the first point only (don't forget to restart your communication channel).

    Best Regards,
