Divisions

Divisions are utilised in SD but they are defined and maintained in logistic general, why?

    Hi David,

    It should be at Enterprise Structure instead of Logistics General as I don't see the same in SAP standard system. It will be helpful if you could let me know the path & I will help to check this for you?

    Certain organisational units are used in various area in logistic. Under logistic you will find various areas like, SD, MM ,PP etc.

    Division is used in MM, SD & PP, that is why it is under logistic general. That means division remains same throughout the company, which is common to all departments .

    Similarly you will find Plant also in logistic general beacuse it is used in SD, MM aswellas PP.
