MM60 & RMMVRZ00

Hi Experts,

Transaction MM60 & Report RMMVRZ00 generates list of materials.

When specifically do we use above transaction or report for generating material list.

Transaction MM60 runs program RMMVRZ00.

In this instance, you don't have any difference.

In certain instances, when you are using transactions you don't get some additional functions like variants, creating reports in background etc.

Please discard my previous reply. I made an error.

Th difference between them is that RMMVRZ00 can be executed with Variants.

This function i.e. executing with variants is not available in transaction MM60

Transaction is an activity in which the process is actually worked on, for eg Creation of sales Order or Change of Sales Order is an Transaction.

Report is an historic data for Transaction already performed in the system. For eg: Open Sales order, Billing due List, etc. Some of these report may enable to perform the next activity in sequence & in somecase it be be purely report, which can only be visuallized.
