how to assign equipment to a class massively

Hi Experts,

I am trying to use tx. CL24N to create a new assignment of a large amount of Equiments to a Class. Is it possible to input a range of equipment numbers or to paste an amount of equipments larger than the grid displayed?

EMIGALL has a migration object OBJCLASS. Copy the standard one to a company of your own. By default it is set up to classify Equipment. (OBJECT_TYPE = EQUI ) so it should meet your needs without much adjustment.

if you need to classify other objects, you can create copies that you may then adjust as needed.

Alternatively you could review CLB1 & CLB2 which are older transactions, but still perfectly valid to create/maintain classifications in bulk.

Obviously a custom program using BAPI_OBJCL_* Bapis as noted earlier is the last option I'd recommend.

I don't think that those Report(s) will help you on this.

You should look into additional Tools such as :

• IBIP Tool, which offers a possibility to Mass Change / Upload Equipment Master and Classification data : link / link
• A Custom Report using the "BAPI_OBJCL_*" BAPIs : SAP-KBA 1083986 / SAP-KBA 1664967
• LSMW in combination with the "BAPI_OBJCL" BAPIs : link

Thanks for your answers. As for my requirement is to provide the end user, a tool to update class and characteristic massively, I think I would go for the BAPI-based custom program.
