Forecast based planning(Type VV) and scheduling margin key impact

Hi All,

We have a problem where planned orders are created in MRP run eventhough procurement key is maintained as F (External procurement). There is no MRP group maintained in the material master and we are using forecast based planning (MRP Type VV).

In MD03, when i ran with create purchase requisition key as 3, it created purchase requisitions which is understandable. In our case, forecast is done for 12 periods and purchase requisition is getting created for first period only .For all other periods the system is creating planned orders. My question

1. Will system system automatically convert the panned orders created for future periods into purchase requisitions, when the MRP is run at that time?

2. For it doesnt make sense to create PR for all the periods now itself. I would like to know the general case for forecast based planning.

3. Sheduling margin key maintained is 000

Is this the culprit? As i see opening period is Zero, maybe thats why it is creating PR for the current period and planned orders for all periods. I would like to know the impact Scheduling margin has on forecast based planning and what stetings needs to be maintained here to create PRs for all other periods.
