Default Warehouse In Item Master

What does the Default Warehouse header in the Item Master template in DTW correspond to in the SAP Inventory Module? What field does it link to and populate? Does this field need to be filled in or can it be left blank -- will it affect or prevent transactions? We only have 1 warehouse location.

Hi Mike,

The default WH corresponds to the Item Master field DfltWH. Setting this value in the template is actually equivalent to highlighting the warehouse row in the Item Master intentory tab and clicking Set default Whse

It just becomes your default warehouse for that item for both incoming and outgoing transaction.

If you have only one warehouse then it does not really matter

Indeed in this case it does not make much difference.

To add to the previous post the Default Warehouse also influences the 'Last Calculated Price' update if the company has selected 'Item Cost per Warehouse'.

The 'Last Calculated Price' is set according to the default warehouse in case 'Item Cost per Warehouse' is selected. (when the relevant reports are run of course)
