Overhead Tempalte Allocation - MSEG-DMBTR feild not pulled for BOM components

Hi All

We are using overhead template functionality to apply overhead for plan and actuals. We are not using the costing sheets.

We want to calculate the consumption value for all BOM components and multiply it with a factor. SAP has given table MSEG in template. This table stores the consumption value for the component in field DMBTR.

As part of flexible functional functionality "TotalOfBomItems" so that system is able to calculate and sum value for all components. We created a function characteristic to pull value from MSEG/DMBTR field.

Somehow system is not able to pull any value from MSEG. We tried other fields from other tables with similar flexible functions and it works fine.

Can anyone please suggest a solution for this..?

We used the Order Cost function for the actual overhead.

It worked fine, closing the thread
