Table maintainance generator

Hi,

I have a requirement in which i have to add a new column to an existing ztable and update some values in it.

I have created the column and i now need to add entries thru sm30.But i donot get the new field there.

i wanted to know whether any additional configiuration should be done for this. the existing table has a TMG already, what can i do to enter values into the new field? please guide

hi,

Delete the table maintainence generator and regenerate and also do this ...goto utilities-> database utility ... Press button activate and adjust database .. You can do this by SE14 transaction ...

No need to delete the table maintenance generator.

just go to utilities ->table maintenance generator

on top left click on change icon

then check the chkbox -> create maintenance screen

then select the chkbox of the screens

then continue.

it will recompile the screens.

this will surely work.

Hi Rahul,

Go to SE54.

Enter the Table Name.

Select Generated Objects.

Click on Delete Button.

Create a fresh Table Maintenance Generator now which will show the added coloumn.

U need to delete the existing maintainence generator and create a new one. This would work.

Activate the table.Delete old table maintainance generator and create the new one.Also,go to utilities-> database utility.Press activate button and adjust database .
