Dear Experts,
When i try to loggin to the portal I get the following error
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :

If you open portal with Administrator user role and click on Content Administration > Portal Content
In the catelog you can find the folder called Content Provided By SAP(Expand the folder) > Standard Portal Users >(Expand the folder) > here you can find the Defaul Framework Page. This the page which will be appearing for all users when they are created.
The administrator user also apprears this framework page as part of his DEsktop page. If you open this object for editing you can find an called "page title bar".
This iview is default SAP provided pcd object which is created from com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea.par file.
I hope this pcd object is disturbed,
Check by disabling the iview in the framework page. or else remove the iview from the framework page and add it again.
Check the permissions of the object(Default framework page)
Before removing the par file find the iview in the pcd path and check all the properties for the iview which is there in Default Framework Page.
By disabling the iview from framewok page resolve the error.
Keep the removing iview in framework page and adding again, option as a final one if none works.Be very careful while touching the Default PCD objects.

If you are not able to login with you administrator also... you can log into portal using this SAP NOTE: 869690
If you are able to log in with you administrator then navigate to the mentioned url and check the properties where you can find the permissions and the availability of your portal desktop.. probably there might not have proper permissions (Everyone Group should be assigned) or your default desktop might have an issue. So try to create a new desktop for your portal and assign it to the users.

Hello,
Login with Adminstrator and check whether he is also getting the same error. If the Administrator can login then this might be a permission error.
Open the default portal desktop under Content Adminstration -> Portal Content -> Portal Users.
Then Open the permission ditor of the Default desktop and assign any common role and select the checkbox End User.
Then assign this role to ur user. This will solve the issue.

Hi,
Check the log file DefaultTrace.log in \usr\sap\<SID>\JC02\j2ee\cluster\server0\log.
Search for the Exception Id mention in the error.
Hope this help you for troubleshooting.
