date Deviates from permissible range [journal entry -posting date] error

SAP Business One patch 38 ,version 740252

In the incoming payment , one document was created in early datetime ( 2008-05-01) base on A/R invoice ,

and now (2008-06-20) I want to cancel it . the posting period is 2008-06 , but It show the message " the selected period is locked ,the posting will created in current period, continue ? " , I click "YES " . It will give the error message " date Deviates from permissible range [journal entry -posting date] error "

who knows why ?

if I change the period , It will be OK ,but I want to create the cancel document in current posting date .

if the incoming payment is created in last year , and the period-end closing had done, and the financil report also had done .

the new cancel document must will be created in current posting date . but it fail.

but in other patch , It can do it .

what can I do ?

thanks.

    Dave,

    Tick mark

"Allow Future Posting Date" in document settings.

    Try to cancel incoming payments.

      Hi expert,

May I know is this bug fix? I am frustrated as well....it was working fine with previous version and which such serious problem happen when new version affect working thing become not working!!!

SAP should apologize on this...the impact is all users come to complaint! and for any system settings that when administrator do not allow user to simply go in system to do system settings on SET CURRENT PERIOD, do you know how tedious work is that!!
