What is the use of general modifier?

Hi,

Please note while using mvt type 201 we will give cost center and assign a G/L account.

Eg: Cost Center -1000, G/L account 400000

It means that consumption is captured in the G/L account 400000.

Why we have to assign a G/L account for VBR key?

What is the purpose of it?
