Hi Friends,

I want to enter the time duration for the main operation in recipe, but the system is not showing the input field in the main operation, this field is displayed in sub operation only,

Can any body guide me if how to enter this duration in the main operation itself as I dont want to use the subopeartion, also can we maintain the relationship for the main operations.

Please give your valuable suggestion.

Regards,

Amit Shirsath.

Dear,

If u not using Phases then obliviously u assign time duration

(various scheduling) to the operation level. In this case at the time of Routing creation u can enter Time aginst the operation.

But if using Phases then u cant assign at operation level.

Yes u can maintain relationship for the main operation.

Hi Srinath,

Timing for Operation can not be entered.

Timing for Phases can be entered.

However you run MRP/MPS, scheduling will sum up all that timing and let you give the Productio 'Start Date' (for Backward scheduling) and 'End Date' (incase of Forward Scheduling).

Phase timing are useful in Order Costing also. So don't ignore it.

Hy Amit,

This functanality is not for Master Recipe. You can assign time at only phase level, but in other words we can say that it is for Operation also.If there is only one phase 0020 is for Operation 0010 than time reqired for 0020 is also same for Operation 0010 and if there is more than one phase then total time required for all the sub operation is time required for the Main operation.

hi

in master recipe there is operation and phases and i think that phases you consider as sub operation but that phase are very important in master recipe the time you have to maintain for that phases and relation should also maintained for that phases.

if any query please come back\
