Hi sejal
In the year 2006 asset purchased & charged with 100% rate of dep. wrongly. But in the year 2007 some capital exp. incurred for that asset & charged to that asset. Now we want to charge dep@19% on that asset from retrospective effect i.e from year 2006.& run the dep for the year 2007.I have tried it by changing the dep key in asset master.but it is not calculating the dep at 19%.
Pl. advice how to do this
Thanks

Dear members of forum,
please have a look at rules of engagement:
Do not ask for points - This forum should be firstly about information exchange; points are an incentive and a way of saying thanks.
Asking for points is like asking someone to say "thank you": The only time we do this in real life is when teaching a child good manners.
Saying it to an adult is insulting, so why do it in the forums? If someone keeps asking questions without awarding points, simply stop answering them or use the abuse button to report it
Best regards
Horst

HIi
When u change the depreciation key it will recalculate latest year depreciation only.. it will not do for precious year that is 2007.
if u select the repeat run it will just repeat the depreciation for the last period and not the last year..
If u have not closed the books of accounts for f.y 2007 than the option available is u can go for manual depreciation.
hope this helps u.
reward points if helpful

Hi Sivaji,
Make sure that you have selected REPEAT radio button under reason for posting run while doing depreciation run(AFAB).
Try it.
Assign points if useful
Thanks
