Auto Reaction method is not triggering Alerts - Rz20 shows status Active.

Hello,

We have configured CCMS monitoring for our XI system and set the Auto Reaction method as ZPI_CCMS_SEND_Alert_to_ALM (Which is copy of CCMS_SEND_Alert_to_ALM ). Refer figure 1 & 2.

We are getting the Alert in CCMS monitor but the Auto Reaction method is not triggered automatically and we need to manually execute that each time. The RZ20 Alert shows the Alert in ACTIVE status.

I have explored all the blogs/forum threads available on SDN however it seems that this question haven't been solved yet.

Do we need to configure any background job to trigger this Auto Reaction method ?

Points will be rewarded for useful ansewers.

Thanks & Regards,

Dijesh Tanna.

Hello Dijesh Tanna,

Thank you for letting me know the resolution in your problem. I have some questions that you may want to give an answer.

Is this auto-reaction method done locally?

Do you have any user used in the RFC connection made?

Where do you configure the RFC in client 000 going to working client of ALM?

Any jobs that needs to be running?

Do SAPconnect needs to be configured in Client 000?

Hope to hear your feedback on this. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jaypee

Auto reaction method should be configure locally.

The auto abap job ( can't be seen from SE37 ) runs on client 000. So f.e. if your ALM is configure on client 100. You need to create one RFC from 000 to 100 with RFC user valid in 100. ( The user should have ability to send external emails ).

Set that RFC in the SALRT1 transaction in 000 client.

Hope this resolves your problem as well.

Strange that I can't ask for points )

Thanks & Regards,

Dijesh Tanna.

Hello Dijesh Tanna,

Thanks I really appreciate your assistance.

By the way, I am not sure the specific role that I need to include with the RFC user, I just dont want to use SAP_ALL since for security reason. Do you know the exact role or profiles that must be included for this user to have this ability to send external mails.

Thanks in advance.

You can either create new role using authorisation object S_OC_SEND and S_RFC.

or Enter the role SAP_BC_ALM_ADMIN and the profiles SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.

Problem got resolved by setting the RFC in client 000 to the client in which ALM is setup.
