Especial software to SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe

Hello,

I am deploying a solution that involves SAP Interactive Forms by adobe, my solution is this flow ...

e-mail to pass a supplier with adobe forms, the supplier meets the data and forward this email to a functional SAP, the same reports these data in the database SAP.

The issue is the supplier needs a special software to open the Adobe form for example livecycle designer 7.1?

not as if he (contractor) will open the Adobe Form to fill the data?

Regards,

Carlos Oliveira.

Hi Carlos,

It depends on type of Interactive forms you are using. If this is an ActiveX form then you need Adobe Reader as well as xACF installed on the user machine.

But in case if you are using ZCI forms, you need to have only Adobe Reader installed.

Hope this helps!!

Arafat, a final question,

What is ZCI I already saw that term but I could not the definition,

ZCI is the same thing that forms made within the SAP environment?

and ActiveX is form that is displayed and modified by the browser?

Hi Carlos,

ZCI stands for Zero Client Install forms, as the name suggest these forms do not require any special software like ACF to run on client machine. ZCI makes it platform independent.

Similar to ActiveX version, just making it platform independent. Both forms open in browser.

Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Regards,

Arafat
