Chart type differences between workbooks, BEx queries and web queries

Hi there,

I am trying to establish which different chart types are available to me in each of the output formats in BI7.0.

Most importantly, I need to use chart type "Line - Column" (which can be found in the "Chart Type" pop-up within Excel under the "Custom types" tabstrip).

I need to use this chart type in web reporting or basic BEx querying (as opposed to in workbooks which obviously contain XL functionality).

Can anyone tell me how I might do this?

Hi Ian,

Do you mean that you want to display one key figure as a column and another as a line in the same chart?

In the WAD, create a new chart of type columns. If you want the 2nd key figure to be displayed as a line, go to 'series' (in the edit mode of the chart). Select 'Series 2' and choose chart type --> Line. Now you have a combinations of a bar and a line chart.
