We are faced with an unique situation. We want the values from an MIC to flow to the batch. However the tolerance limit of the MIC differs based on the material being inspected.
Because of this current the MIC's are specific to the material and the no of MIC's is dependent on the material. We want to reduce the no of MIC's so that we can have a common MIC linked to all materials via inspection plan.
Is there a way wherein, we have one MIC linked to a batch charactersitic and at the same time maintain multiple tolerance limits for the MIC.
Thanks & Regards
TOM
Absolutely.
1. Create your general chara.
2. Create your MIC with reference to the general char.
3. Assign the chara to the class
4. Maintain your specs in the class
5. Assign the material to the class
6. In the class view in the material master, mantain any charac values that differ from the standard class
7. Maintain the material spec in QS61
8. Create you plans and do not unlock the characteristics in the plan.
9. Set the inspection type for the material to inspect with the plan and material spec.
