Upgrade NW640 to NW 700 - XPRAS_UPG - dump CALL_FUNCTION_PARM_MISSING

Hi

I have problem with Upgrade to NW700. In XPRAS_UPG there is problem with job RDDEXECL - it fails with dump CALL_FUNCTION_PARM_MISSING (exception CX_SY_DYN_CALL_PARAM_MISSING). The system which i am upgrading is BW. Anyone had the same problem?

here is the exerpt from dump:

Thanks,

JM

It seems you're running into the problem described in note 1153235 - DataSource: Short dump when you import shadow version (SHDS).

To solve you would need to apply that note in the shadow system.

      Hi,

I faced the same issue during the patching of BI_CONT 703 patch level 05 (SAPKIBIIP5). The application of the Note 1153235 - DataSource: Short dump when you import shadow version (SHDS)

      solved the problem.

The dump in ST22 was like below.

      ___________________________________________

      Runtime Errors CALL_FUNCTION_PARM_MISSING

      Exception CX_SY_DYN_CALL_PARAM_MISSING

      Date and Time 27.08.2008 16:40:43

      Short text

      Incorrect parameter with CALL FUNCTION.

      What happened?

When calling a function module, one of the parmaeters was not

      specified.

Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "SAPLRSAOS" had to be terminated because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

      What can you do?

Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.

To process the problem further, contact you SAP system

      administrator.

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look

at and manage termination messages, and you can also

keep them for a long time.

      Error analysis

An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.

The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_PARAM_MISSING', was

      not caught in

procedure "OSOA_UPLOAD" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.

Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the

exception would occur, the current program is terminated.

The reason for the exception is:

When calling the function module "RSA1_DSOURCE_ALL_D_GET", one of the

      parameters

needed according to the interface description was not specified.

      This parameter was "E_T_OHIECOM".

    Hi Josef,

does this error persists if you repeat the phase?
