ST03 - No system load data available

Former Member

Dear All,

I'm managing the following issue after a NW2004s System Copy.

Executing the ST03 transaction, the system displays me the following pop-up message:

"NO SYSTEM LOAD DATA AVAILABLE"

I already check the SAP standard jobs and the TCOLL table and everything seems correctly configured.

Can anyone help?

I'm not able to collect any kind of datas to display in ST03!!!

Thanks All.

Regards,

Marco

Hi,

Hope you have done the post steps of the system copy.

Check the below things:

After system copt we have the stats of the sourece system which we will delete.

Secondly schedule the standard SAP jobs.Check the job logs they may give soem information.

check if these files are getting created /usr/sap/SID/D*/data/stat.dat

Lastly the profile parameter stat/level is active or not i.e > 0 (usually it is 1)

Thanks.

Hi.

The stats of the source system was deleted.

The standard Jobs was rescheduled and the stat files are created in the /usr/sap/<SID>/DV*/data/....

They do not have the format stat.dat but only stat...

...I checked other instances and statistics files are generated in the same way.

Some job logs report a Database Platform not Supported, but I think it is related to the DB TCOLL report not Oracle specific (for example the DB2 specific report).

It seems that the stat and astat files, even if created at OS level, cannot be read from ST03.

I also checked the file access permissions (<sid>adm:sapsys with "-rw-rr").

Thanks all for your cooperation.

Best Regards,

Marco

Hi All.

I've noticed the following error (at the bottom of the gui screen) when I try to access the function "Collector & Performance DB -> Workload Collector Databse -> Contents" from ST03N:

No directory for <SID> available (4)

When I open the performance assistant, the pop up windows telle me:

**********************************************************

No directory for HXQ available (4)

Message no. S03404

Diagnosis

The system was not able to obtain a directory of the DSR statistics from the specified monitoring system.

System Response

The application continues and an error message is written to the application log.

Error codes:

1 Only one selection is possible

2 No data available

3 Internal error

4 RFC problems

5 Function module not available in remote system

6 Other error

Procedure

Check the specification of the destination.

**********************************************************

What kind of RFC have I to check?

Hope this can help to analyze my issue.

Thanks all,

Marco

Is the system connected to central monitoring system? If yes, check that RFC connection

I do not know if the system is connected to a centrsal monitoring system.

How can I check?

and how can I determine the involved RFC?

Thanks,

Marco

Hi,

I'm not convinced your initial problem and the one you have just posted now regarding DSR's and an RFC error are the same.

Check trans ST03G this is where you can view DSR's and you add systems in the "Settings & Log" -> "System Selection" area which you monitor globally. These systems are added using RFC's which is probably what is causing your issue with regards to the above but not the other issue regarding no data being displayed in ST03N. For that I would make sure the SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR job is running without error and double check the data directory permissions not just the files.

I got same error. But my message as following:

"The system was not able to obtain a directory of the DSR statistics from the specified monitoring system".

Anyone has idea about this problem?

Sorry for being to tale in my answer.

I finally solved my problem!

It was fixed with the implemetation of [Note 1049806 - ST03N : No workload data found|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1049806]

Hope this can help the most of you!

Is your saposcol running? Is the system running long enough (after the copy) to have collected data?

Hi Markus.

The SAP system was built as a distributed system, so we have DB and CI on separated hosts.

Tha saposcol is running only on the CI host.

We have restarted the system twice today, but the data collection is running approx from a week.

Thanks for your quick response.

Hi,

check the entry of host name in table SAPWLSERV.

is it right or wrong?

if it is wrong then delete the entry and then run report RSSTAT98 using SA38

Please check these notes

Note 1005238 - Migration of workload statistics data to NW2004s

Note 1006116 - Migration of workload statistics data to NW2004s (2)

I've not performed a migration...

...just a System Copy where the Source and Target SAP release are both NW2004s.

Why should I take care of these two notes?
