Hello everybody,

It's a newbie question

I have problem when i want to make par file from the Netweaver Developer Studio.

I want to change the wellcome page. So, i download file com.sap.portal.support.browse.zip from my portal server. When finished with modifying the properti file, i exported the project into par file. The original file size is 607 kb, but when finished exporting the par file, it's size only 1 kb. Is it any mistake with my par file ?

Many thanks in advance.

Lusi

Hi,

When you import par file, no jar files in lib and private/lib folders are imported into NWDS. So import them manually into your project.

So you should copy these jar file manually into corresponding folders in you NWDS project.

Hi Praven, thanks for ur answer.

I have follow the instruction step by step, and i have upload my par file back to server. Now, my par file size is 606 kb, almost the same with original par file (com.sap.portal.ivs.iviewservice.par) namely 607 kb. But my welcome page still like before, no changing happened.

Fyi, i only change text in welcome.properties file not all file welcome_<lang>.properties. Should i change all welcome_<lang>.properties file to change the welcome page ?

Pls help.

Thanks

Hi,

You should atleast change properties files for languages that are used by your portal users.

If the text is only changed in welcome.properties, this will only be used if no language specific files are present. So if user has English, then

welcome_en.properties is called and so on.

So change all welcome_<lang>.properties and check if things work as expected.
