PI upgrade scenario

Hello,

We want to migrate our PI system from MSSQL to Hana.

DMO doesn’t support ABAP/JAVA stack upgrade/migration to Hana in one step.

What options we have to migrate the DB to Hana?

1) Upgrade to PI 7.4 / 7.5 and after that, split instances and classical migration to Hana with export/import between two instances (abap and java)

2) Upgrade to PI 7.4 / 7.5, and install a fresh installation PI 7.5 on Hana, and after that migrate the objects to the new system.Does it possible this scenario using PI 7.5? Don't have PO license

If you go for the first option then it would be better to upgrade the system to 7.5 instead of 7.4 and after the upgrade you should split the instance and finally move to HANA. Before the upgrade you need to also get the source OS/DB updated to the required patch level for the target release. Not sure about the second option, for that I suggest you may consult PI specialist if that is something which you can do.
