Hi All,
I am on MDM 5.5 SP6.
I am getting the following error message when trying to logging in to the DM.
The system cannot find the file specified.Windows sockets error code:2.This application will now exit.
Runtime Error :
Program C :\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Data Manager\Datamanager.exe
R6025.
-Pure virtual function call.
And in console also the MDM server is stopped after getting the above error message.
Can anybody tell me what could be the problem?
Thanks & Regards
Sireesha.
Hi Sireesha,
The error clearly shows som eproblem with the data manger exe file.
That means the data manger exe file which you are using is not compatible iwth the MDM server vs.
Are the other components like Console,Import manger and Syndicator working for this user?
If yes then its the problem with Data manger file.
Check the version of your Data manger GUI and MDM server.
Hope It Helped
Kindly Reward POints If Found useful
Thanks & Regards

Hi Simon,
Thank you for your reply.
Recently MDM is upgraded to SP6. previously with the same user i was working with no issues. After this upgradation i installed all the components again(The installables which r installed in other system n working fine ). When i was working on DM with the same user which i used for SP5 got the exception(check the error in the first post). Then immediately all other components are gtting closed automatically. So cannt start the MDM server since its stopped. When i get this message automatically other user who is working on MDM also getting effected. Sometimes when other user is getting this error that my reposittory also getting stopped.
But after sometime MDM server will be up automatically. If i open DM immdiately its giving the error and closing it again. This is how its happening till now.
Error is coming up only in DM. Whenever getting this error then all other coponents also getting closed automatically.
Is problem with client side or server side ?
Thanks & Regards

Hi sireesha,
I think the port in question here is the Repository port.
Every Repository created on the MDM server is assigned a port number which must be in a gap of atleast 5 numbers from others.
eg if one rep is at port 2889 then the other should be atleast at 2894
Server level->Select your repository -> and check the port numbera ssigned to it in the details.
If this number is clashing with the Port numbers of others repository then you might be facing the issue.
Thanks
Simona
Hi Sireesha,
According to me, there can be 3 problems,
1. Kindly check whether the MDM server is stopped. If it is, then restart the MDM Server and Load the repository with Update indices.
2. If this error is coming with every repository, the problem will be either in the Version mismatch of the Server and the GUI's you are using. Kindly ensure that the versions for the MDM server and the MDM Gui's Match.
3. If only Data manager Client is giving the problem, then you can un-install and install the DM GUI again.
Along with this, please refer to the link below :
Hope it helps.

Hi Nitin,
Thanks for your reply.
This error was getting only for few users and some other users are able to work fine with MDM.
I have tried uninstalling DM but no result. Still am getting the same error. And later unintstalled whole components also but no success.
Do u have any idea where could be the problem?
Thanks & Regards
Sireesha.
Hi Sireesha,
It strange to know that the error mentioned above is only coming for a single repository and that too only for particular users.
If this is the case, kindly try two things:
1. Check the repository for errors. If found , verify them through Console. Load the repository with Upload indices.
2. If no errors found, Try archiving the repository and then Unarchiving the repository with a different name. Check whether the error still prevails. If not, then your prob is solved.
Also verify that the users who are trying to login have proper roles and authorizations provided to them.
It still does not work, then We will have to wait for someone who has actually faced this problem before.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and Regards
