Hi Ravi Kumar,.
XI is built both ABAP & JAVA technologies. it can support the SAP R/3.It can takes the XML Data and It can produce the XML data.
In case Tibco,it can support for Java technologies, its not support the R/3 system.

Skumar

Hi Ravi,
There are many middleware available in market but some of best middlewares are TIBCO, SAP XI, COLDFUSION(ORACLE)
the best is TIBCO but it GUI based it less time consuming when compare to other
comming to SAP XI it the best for data transfer from different applications to SAP R/3
in xi we can monitor end to end data transfer but were it is not possible with other
if any problem we need to start from scratch for TIBCO an COLDFUSION but not with SAP XI
if found worth pls do the req
Thanx
Sampath

Hi Ravi,
We have so many middle wares available like TIBCO, Web Methods, Seabeond, MQ-series,.......
Why we prefer XI, here XI not only supports the SAP, it takes any type of sending data and send to any type of receiver. If one side(either sender or receiver) is R/3 then this is the strong and best thing.
Advantages:
1. XI provides you with central routing and central monitoring of messages
2.SAP CRM Middleware is used to get the data from R/3 back-end system
though Adapters , where as XI is used to get the data to CRM system without an ERP back-end system though XIF adapter
3.well main advantage of XI over other middleware tool is central monitoring and centraal development.and one more thing(may be business edge over others) is that its from the leader in ERP,XI is better suited for IDOC and RFC scenario that other middleware tools,so i guess if companies have SAP then they go for XI rather than other middle ware ,
as far as i remember SAP was recommending Webmethods before they came up with XI.
4.Comparative study can be done basically on the following notes:
a.Message processing
b.Volume
c.performance
d.Development help
e.MArket acceptance
f.Integration with SAP products & components.
g.Iron clad data security as expected from any SAP product.
h.Standards based - XML, XSD, Xpath etc
i.Ability to communicate with other messaging systems/products.
j.Business Process Management
k.Synchronous & Asynchronous communication
l.Leverage existing SAP & ABAP skillset.
m.Mapping etc possible to accomplish in Java. Platform independent Java components.
n.Java & .Net support.
And also SAP Netweaver XI coming with SOA Enabled Product thats why now a days SAP XI booming in the Market.
"Reward if found useful"

Vinod.
