Hello,
You can maintain separate petty cash account for each branches.
It is better to maintain the branches as per the profit center.

hi
yes i know the concept of petty cash. but here the thing is , every branch does its own sales, make payments for salaries etc.. in the sence they act as a seperate entity and maintain seperate cash accouts.
so is it possible to have a seperate cash account per branch/profit center wise ???
pl advice
Hi..
I suggest dont have separate cash books...
Make sure your profit centers are posted properly to have a grip on the business process...
When the transactions are done in hard cash, only then use cash book.
So, what i mean to say is, create profit centers and use them when you need to hve a transparency in the transactions that you do...
Cheers
Raghu
