Incorrect Final Confirmation

Hello,

When we received the IDOC form our Legacy MES with STATUS "CLR", the process should have canceled the RESERVATIONS, but the reservations continue in the Order.

What went wrong, how could we trace the error and processed this correct. Please assist in resolving this.

Hi John,

You can do customising to clear open reservations automatically with final confirmation, so you do not have to check checkbox while confirming every process order.

For this go to transaction code OPK4, enter plant & order type.Then click on lense to go to details screen. On next screen go to General individual entry view -

---

> select confirmation type as final confirmation & click checkbox for Post open reservation.

Now whenever you will do final confirmation of process order then open reservation will be cleared automatically.

Hi John,

You can see clear open reservations indicator while confirming process order on process order confirmation:detail screen. You have to click this this indicator while doing confiormation of process order to clear all the reservations created against process order. This is done in SAP R3.

But in your case as the confirmation is already done, so if you want to clear reservations against this process order then you have to TECO this order. TECO ing process order means process order is tecnically complete & production team doesn't expect anything from this order now.

Hi John,

From you question, what I get that your issue is from IDOC you received status of your process order is clear but still the reservations are appearing in SAP.

This may be because you must not have checked clear open reservations checkbox while final confirmation, then reservations will not cleared.

If you want to clear all this reservations then you have to TECO this process order if you don't expect any output from this process order now.

Yah your right it is from IDOC to SAP we have encountered the problem, you mean i must checked clear open reservation checkbox of my PRODUCTION ORDER? where could i found this? thus this resolution of yours should be done in the IDOC stage or in R3 already?

Hi,

This even you can control thro' customizing also. you can make this defaulted by activating in the customizing.

But this can be activated only with Final confirmation.
