Hi All,

I have created an workflow as

Start->Process->Match->approve>assign->syndicate--->stop

Trigger Action :record Import.

Given the port details in the syndicate step.

I have created remote system type Inbound/Outbound ,Port Outbound and processing type as manual .

I have given the workflow name in the import manager checkout/workflow.

In Syndicator map details maintained in the Port .

Everything looks fine.

But i am unable to get the syndicated file in Ready Folder what might be the problem ?

Hi Priya,

Your Syndication Server should be in Running state because Syndicate step does not actually syndicate the records instead it marks the records for Syndication.

Check the status of Syndication Server. Also if the Admin user has the password you need to pass the same in the MDSS.ini file.

Hello Priya,

Please check that have you installed the Syndication server?

If not then install the syndication server first and start the service for the syndication server.

follow path: C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Syndication Server for the MDSS.ini file

Assuming you have installed syndication server in C; drive.

If you have any pwd for the Admin user then goto the MDSS.ini file of syndication server> open it> set the pwd corresponding to your repository.

I hope this will clear your doubt and help you.

String Resource Dir=C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Syndication Server\LangStrings\

Log Dir=C:\PROGRA1\SAPMDM1.5\SYNDIC~1\Logs

Where can i set repository and password?

Hi,

How can i know wheather syndication server is running or not ?

Go to Start>run..->Services.msc--->MDM Syndication Server 5.5 then start the service.

After starting service your repository list come automatically into MDSS.ini file, there you can set the pwd for your Admin User if you set for repective Repository.

Hope it helps you,

Some questions:

  • Were you able to select the outbound port in the Syndicate step in the workflow?

  • Did you check-in the records before the syndication starts?

  • If you did not check-in the records, does the user you use for syndication have the ability to view checked-out records?

  • Did you check the log files to see if the syndicated was started?

Hi Alon,

I have checked all these scenarios.

Everything looks fine.
