How to Release a Purchase Requisition at Header Level ????????

Hi Experts

I was trying to release a PR having many line items at Header level. But i am unable to find the Release Tab either at Header level or at Item Detail level.

Where do i really find Icon/Tab/Button to Release the PR ??

Hi Maruthi,

For purchase requisitions there wont be any tab as it is available for other external documents ( like PO / Contracts etc). You can release the PR either only at item level. How ever there is a provision where you can set the PR for overall release where in if you release any of the PR line item, the whole of the PR is released. To do so you need to set the flag at the document level ( Document type creation --> check the Overall release ) and as well as at the Release procedure ( Customization of release procedure --> assign class to Release group --> check overall release).

Its Great !!

Its working. PR now has got a Release Strategy Tab at Header level.

I have gone thru all steps but last key step which i missed out was to Flag at the Document Type the Overall release.

In every forum i have posted the question, but everyone has given me the steps to configure the Release strategy at Item level.

I feel you have understood my question clearly and given me an apt reply. Thanks a lot Sunil.

Hi

I dont think that PR will have Header release. The release strategy is always at item level. If you want you can set the Release of an item as complete release of the PR.

If you have only 1 item in a PR then you dont need to just release the item. But in case of multiple items- yes we need to do the setting.
