Data updation in LDAP

Hi All

In my Portal UME is configured to LDAP (Microsoft ADS).

Where employee department details are get stored.

In my portal application i need to update the department if there is any change in the employee department.

I am sucessful in user and roles retrival .

Please let me know how to update LDAP from portal application.
