Interaction center win client - Internet Explorer Script Error

Hi Friends,

I am using CIC winclient with CRM 4.0.

One of my requirement is to configure the "HTML" page inside the CIC0 transaction.

The web page i am using is the secure site.

The configurred web page is opening successfully in CIC0, but after completing the task/transaction in the web page if i am selecting OK option, I am getting an error as "Internet Explorer Script Error".

If I open the web page with IE, the same error is coming. But If I uncheck the option ''Display a notification about every script error" in the internet options advance TAB, I won't get the same error.

Has anybody faced this type of error?

Is there any information about this type of error, please share.

Inputs will be definately rewarded.

Regards,

Raj

Hello Raj,

If it helps, here's my experience with that. Here we have IC Webclient 4.0 and we also had that problem a long time ago.

If a end-user had that option checked, ocassionally, a javascript pop-up window appeared to notify the user that a javascript runtime error was occurred.

We reached the same interrogation than you, but after a short time we ignored this situation.

This because that javascript error didn't cause any weird behaviour in our application and didn't stop the end-user to continue is normal activity. The only annoying thing here was the pop-up error notification .

We also confirmed that even with that option turned off, we get javacript critical errors that stops the normal navigation in our application. So those errors were the only ones that we had to fight against.

There is also a SAP document about browser requirements for running IC webclient and PCUI applications, that recommended to turn that option off.

The reason? Surfing on the web we found many possibilities. For example, according the article at page: http://www.sureshotsoftware.com/articles/scripterrors.html :

There are three reasons why these problems occur. The first is that the web page author made some programming error. The second reason may be that you are running a pop-up killer that closes pop-up windows so fast that the script on the web page fails. The third is that you might have some adware or spyware installed on your computer that opens the script error pop-ups.

Kind regards.

Bruno

Did you ever resolve this issue, we are experiencing the same problems with CRM Winclient 4.0 and a HTML window, it doesn't cause the user any issues but is very annoying.
