Restarting Error Message

Former Member

Hi all,

I am reading this blog /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/29/xi-how-to-re-process-failed-xi-messages-automatically and trying out the restarting of error messages.

I have purposely created a message mapping error. However, when i look in sxmb_moni, the message did not restart after the error.

In the blog it mentions that

IS_Retry A batch job( internal in XI) is automatically scheduled to reprocess the entry after 2 minutes.

Is there any settings that i am missing out?

message mapping error

As you mention the Message mapping error this you will find in SXI_MONITOR.

Blog you mention is talking about SYSFAIL error in queue trax SMQ1.

Are getting the same error?

So does that means that if i have error in message mapping, the only way to restart the message is either manually or set up a job that runs the restart message report periodically?

Hi,

If there is mapping error then it is related to your data only so how can you expect that to reprocess, even it is allowed to reprocess also it ends with error only. You need to provide correct input in order to get out of this mapping error. Than blog is discussing about SYSFAIL but not about data errors.

Thanks,
